Every home tells a story. But before Conway Home Renovations ever existed, there was another kind of story — mine. It’s a story about family, love, and the lessons my parents taught me that still guide every project I take on today.

For over 20 years, I worked side by side with my mom and dad in our family’s small machine shop in Milford, Massachusetts. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was honest. The shop smelled like oil and metal, and the air was filled with the steady hum of hard work. I watched my parents pour their hearts into everything they did — not just to earn a living, but to build something they could be proud of together.

My parents always told me that good work isn’t just about getting the job done. It’s about doing it right and understanding what you’re doing. They believed that when you help someone, you don’t just fix their problem — you take the time to educate them, so they can feel confident and empowered. That lesson stuck with me for life. I didn’t know it then, but those values would one day become the foundation of Conway Home Renovations.

Then everything changed. My dad — my mentor, my hero — was diagnosed with lung cancer. Losing him at just 49 years old shattered our world. The machine shop that once felt alive with purpose suddenly felt empty. After he passed, my family made the painful decision to sell the business. But even in loss, I knew I couldn’t let his legacy fade.

I wanted to find a new way to carry my dad’s lessons forward — to honor his belief in hard work, precision, and pride in what you do. That search led me into the building trades, where I discovered a whole new way to use my skills. Working with my hands, solving problems, and creating something lasting for people felt natural — it felt like home.

Over time, I realized something deeper. Remodeling homes isn’t just about construction; it’s about transformation. It’s about giving families a fresh start in the place that matters most to them — their home. Every project is a chance to bring new energy, new memories, and new pride into someone’s life.

That’s how Conway Home Renovations was born. I wanted to build a company rooted in honesty, craftsmanship, and gratitude. A company that listens. A company that treats every home like it’s our own. For me, this work is personal. Every kitchen I remodel, every basement I finish, every detail I perfect — it’s done with the same care and attention to detail my parents taught me in that little machine shop years ago. Now, more than ten years later, Conway Home Renovations has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. We serve homeowners across Sutton, Mendon, Grafton, Upton, and Shrewsbury, MA — families who care about their homes and appreciate the details that make them beautiful.
